HOW TO GET TO ILHA DO MEL

There are two options from
Curitiba.
-
By entering the BR 277 then PR 407 (to Pontal do Paraná) and then pick up
the PR 412 to Pontal do Sul and follow to the Trapiche (pier, port) to
Ilha do Mel. Distance: 130kms - 01:40 hrs (Faster and safer option )
- By the
Estrada da Graciosa (PR 410) entering BR 116 - (Sao Paulo - Curitiba) then
passing Porto de Cima and Antonina. (Beautiful option to tour but much more
time consuming).

ON ILHA DO MEL
Remember to catch the boat that goes to Nova Brasilia – Ilha do Mel.
Once you arrive on the island just ask anyone on how to get the trail to
the lighthouse (Farol) and then to “Internet do Charlis”
or Ilha do Mel Cafe where the hostel is located. It is right
close to Restaurante Mar e Sol and Pousada Colmeia.
You can ask around, people are usually very courteous and will do their
best to help. Its easy, I have a public Internet access which everyone
knows.
